The RLED30 Slave is a repeater module which is designed for use with the RLED30CV4 module. It extends the capacity where long runs of 3 or 4 colour LED constant voltage tape are being used.
There is a maximum number of RLED30Slaves per RLED30CV4 of 10 and each unit can control 30W per channel at 12V or 60W per channel at 24V. The RLED30Slave is fed the output signal from the RLED30CV4 and allows a further length of tape to be controlled from the same base RLED30CV4 unit. It is used with the RLED30CV4 module when the length of tape exceeds the RLED30CV4 capacity. Each unit will require a non-dimmable constant voltage driver of suitable capacity in watts to power the LED strip or equivalent LED illuminaire.
This method is more pocket friendly, but more importantly, the slave has the ability to maintain colour cycling synchronisation, where multiple units fail, because of different internal clocks.
