The RMT500 is an in-line RF trailing edge dimmer suitable for GU10 LED lamps, halogen, tungsten and filament lamps. It is designed to fit in the ceiling or cupboard and controls up to 500W of mains dimmable light loads and fit through a standard downlight cut-out.
It is ideal to use in the flex of free-standing lamps because it has an internal aerial.
For external use please ensure that the unit is fitted into a waterproof enclose with the appropriate IP rating for instance IP67.
The dimmer is connected in-line within the circuit to enable dimming of trailing edge dimmable loads with a maximum of 500 watts. It has the versatility for operation via any other Rako Rakim device such as RP/RCM push button or RF wall-plates.
The RMT500 has advanced features to maximise lighting performance of LEDs though smooth dimming and low stress control. It is also possible to use this dimmer in a wired system with up to 16 scene memory capacity. The device benefits from has a set-up button to manually switch on and off. Please note that the RMT500 should not be used with wire round or inductive loads.
These dimmers are ideal for new builds but particularly suited to retro fits as no wire is needed between the switch and dimmer unit.
The units will store the house and room addresses together with 4 preset scene levels in non-volatile memory.
