24v LED Strip/Tape 14.4w/m IP65 RGB

This LED strip is very high brightness and efficiency and typically uses 70% less energy than standard LED strip.
Priced for a 5m length of 14.4 watts per metre, 24v RGB (red, green, blue) LED strip with self adhesive backing strip for easy installation.
As 24 volt tape only uses half the current of 12 volt tape it has distinct advantages. Firstly longer lengths can be driven without loss of brightness and secondly controllers can driver twice the length.
The tape backing colour is white to give an unobtrusive appearance.
The tape has 60 individual SMD 5050 LEDs per metre and is 10mm wide.
The tape is IP65 rated which means that it is suitable for wet areas. Please check the IP65 standards for more details.
The product has very low light depreciation measuring just 3% after 30000 hours.
This tape is the highest quality commercial grade made to exacting manufacturing standards as detailed below:-

• Specialise LED binning system to ensure that customers receive high consistency in the LED light colours
• 99.99% gilded wires to improve the stability and longevity of the LEDs.
• Utilises phosphors with rare earth aluminates for minimal colour shift.

The light output details are most impressive as below. This may seem complex but please note with RGB strip you cannot simply specify a lumens output value:-

• Color Temperature Red: 620-630nm, 500mcd
• Green: 520-530nm, 950mcd
• Blue: 465-475nm, 220mcd

This RGB tape can be controlled by a standalone RGB Tape Controller and a 24v power supply. Alternatively it can be controlled through a master DMX controller or lighting automation system which has a DMX output then using a DMX Decoder in conjunction with a 24 volt power supply . In this case the 24v driver should be of a greater wattage rating than the tape being driven. Here are a range of compatible 24v drivers.
The tape is supplied as standard in a 5m roll and can be cut to the desired length along the prescribed cut marks. Connectors are then available from the accessories section to wire up the cut lengths.
